GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L. – RENT A CAR 

By accessing and using the services offered by BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L., the client declares that they have read, understood, and fully accept this set of Terms and Conditions. This document represents the legal framework for vehicle rentals.

1. Definitions

Lessor – BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L., the company providing vehicles for rent. Lessee / Client – an individual or legal entity renting the vehicle.

2. Conditions and Required Documents for Rental 

Upon vehicle pickup, the client is required to present: 

  • valid driving license, with a minimum experience of 2–3 years, depending on the model;
  • identity card or legally recognized passport; 
  • minimum age: 20–25 years, depending on the vehicle category.

BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L. reserves the right to refuse the rental without the obligation to provide justification if: 

  • the client presents a high risk; 
  • documents are incomplete; 
  • there are suspicions of fraud, alcohol consumption, or inappropriate behavior. 

3. Guarantee (Deposit) 

  • The guarantee represents an amount blocked for the entire duration of the contract. 
  • The value of the guarantee is determined based on the vehicle model, the client’s age, and driving experience. 
  • Rental and guarantee payments are made upon signing the contract. 
  • The guarantee is fully refunded if the vehicle is returned without damages and contractual violations. 
  • The company has the right to partially or fully retain the guarantee to cover any damages. 

4. Vehicle Use – Client Obligations 

The client agrees to: 

  • to use the vehicle exclusively for legal purposes; 
  • to comply with traffic laws and speed limits; 
  • not to drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or psychoactive substances; 
  • not to allow others to drive without written consent; 
  • not to leave the territory of the Republic of Moldova without written consent; 
  • to return the vehicle in the same technical and visual condition; 
  • to immediately report any damage, malfunction, or incident; 
  • to pay all traffic fines received; 
  • not to use the car for racing, towing, illegal transport, sporting activities, or intentional drifting. 
  • not to exceed the limit of 300 km/day, according to the mileage policy.

5. Mileage Limit 

  • Standard limit: 300 km/day.
  • Exceeding the limit is charged at 10 lei for each additional kilometer, according to the vehicle’s odometer.

6. Accidents, Damages, and Incidents 

In case of an accident or damage, the client is obliged to: 

  • immediately call 112;112; 
  • contact the traffic police; 
  • urgently notify BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L. 

6.1 Client Liability 

  • In the absence of a police report, the client is considered responsible. 
  • If damage occurs in the client’s absence, they are responsible until proven otherwise. 
  • The liable client pays: 
  • the full cost of the repair (authorized service); 
  • loss of income for the immobilization period (daily rate × service days).
  • The company may retain the guarantee in full or in part. 

7. Client Rights 

The client has the right to: 

  • to receive a clean, functional, and technically inspected vehicle; 
  • to request the vehicle documents and usage instructions; 
  • to be informed about costs and conditions before signing; 
  • to receive the guarantee back if there are no contractual reasons for retention. 

8. Company Rights and Obligations 

BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L.: 

  • provides vehicles in good technical condition; 
  • offers a clear and transparent contract; 
  • ensures data confidentiality; 
  • intervenes in case of malfunctions not attributable to the client; 
  • may charge costs for excessive dirt, lost keys, missing fuel; 
  • may terminate the contract in case of serious violations. 

9. Vehicle Insurance 

  • The vehicle is insured with mandatory RCA insurance.
  • The client may opt for additional CASCO insurance at their own expense.
  • The client is financially liable if they lose the right to compensation due to failure to comply with legal procedures. 

10. Technical Prohibitions 

It is strictly forbidden: 

  • opening the hood; 
  • unauthorized technical interventions; 
  • tampering with vehicle components. 

Violation entails a financial penalty, immediate contract termination, and full liability. 

11. Vehicle Return 

The client is obliged to: 

  • return the vehicle at the agreed time; 
  • hand over the car with the same fuel level; 
  • pay for costs resulting from delays. 

12. Penalties and Delays 

  • Delays are charged hourly or daily. 
  • A delay of more than 3 hours may be considered an unauthorized extension.
  • The company may apply the rate for an additional day, retain the guarantee, or terminate the contract. 

13. Penalties for Excessive Speed 

  • All fines are the responsibility of the client. 
  • Repeated or aggressive speed violations allow the company to: 
  • retain the guarantee; 
  • immediately suspend the rental; 
  • terminate the contract without refund. 

14. Contract Termination 

BLACKLINE AUTO S.R.L. may immediately terminate the contract if: 

  • the client repeatedly delays the return; 
  • drives dangerously; 
  • violates major rules; 
  • interferes with the vehicle without authorization. 

In case of termination: 

  • unused days are not refundable; 
  • the guarantee may be retained; 
  • the vehicle may be repossessed without notice. 

15. Personal Data Protection 

The data is collected exclusively for: 

  • contract conclusion; 
  • invoicing; 
  • fraud prevention; 
  • legal obligations. 

The data is not sold, is stored securely, and the client has the right to access, modify, and delete it in accordance with the law. 

16. Force Majeure 

The parties shall not be liable for the non-performance of obligations caused by force majeure events. 

17. Applicable Law 

This document is governed by the legislation of the Republic of Moldova. Disputes are resolved amicably or in competent courts.
